Q. Can parents/Carers watch the Lessons?
A. We understand for some children, a new environment with unfamiliar faces can be daunting and need that additional
support.
Unless a child really needs the support of their parent..only ONE parent/person with parental responsibility is allowed to stay
and watch for the FIRST THREE CLASSES ONLY in order to observe and reassure their child. Please be assured all instructors are
very understanding and knowledgeable with new beginner students. If there was any concern and a child was not settling,
they will contact the parent.
NOTE: We do have a number of schools with a no parent ruling within their school policy. Kombatkids adheres and respects
any rules set within that school's policy. This information will be noted on each school/venue details on the website.
Limiting parental intake offers additional safeguarding to all students. Under Kombatkids Child Protection Policy, we have
students who cannot be photographed or filmed, we have to ensure protection of these students and instructors cannot be
teaching students and observing parents or persons with parental responsibility. We realise some parents want to get a photo
of their child on their first lesson....speak to your Club Instructor at the end of the lesson who can help achieving this image.
We have students who get nervous or students with special educational needs who are not comfortable with someone they
do not know watching them...parents can be a distraction without having to do anything!
We believe, bringing your child to Kombatkids, we are encouraging your child to develop into a confident and independent
individual. Kombatkids wants parents or persons with parental responsibility to share and celebrate their child's grading
achievement and will be allowed in the class for their grading presentation.
Your Club Instructor may have to protect students who cannot be photographed/videoed and will advise how photographs
can be taken for this presentation. Your Club Instructor may offer to do a class demonstration at some point during the year
and parents or persons with parental responsibility will be invited to attend
